Engineering, I am co-advised by Professors Cramer and Dordick. My work seeks to combine the strengths of both groups in a synergistic fashion by applying high throughput methods and protein interactions to chromatography. The focus of my research lies within Selective Displacement Ion Exchange Chromatography, specifically with regards to high throughput screening of novel selective displacer compounds, elucidation of selective displacement mechanics, selective displacer engineering and further applications of selective displacement. The end goal of this research is to provide an efficient, viable and cost effecitive bioseparations tool for the biotechnology industry that could be used in leu of other current techniques.
