Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, Department of Plant Breeding, Rice Genomics, Summer Intern, June-Aug. 2004, June-Aug. 2006. My focus is to aid in the already formulated project working with high-throughput, solid-phase combinatorial biocatalysis and its applications to lead compound optimization in drug discovery. I work directly under Dr. Sarah Brooks and we focus on one of the project’s major aims: to expand the breadth of biocatalysis on solid- and polymer-supported compounds in aqueous and nonaqueous media. Specifically, we will be focusing on the solid-supported compounds by doing work associated with attaching model compounds with specific functional groups onto controlled-pore glass beads. N/A |
