I hail from Delhi, India. I earned my Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology in 2019. I joined the PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering program at RPI in Spring of 2021, with the unusual time being attributed to the "pandemic". I am being co-advised by Professors Dordick and Koffas. In the past I have worked with RNA viral systems to shed light on their replication biology and diverse methods for preparation of diagnostic kits. Over time, I have developed profound interest in working on coming up with more sustainable, scalable and economic means to produce therapeutics which can, in conjunction with the rise of newly acquired knowledge of the biology of disease, revolutionize the health care system.
I am primarily driven towards metabolic engineering and protein engineering approaches for translational research. Currently I am working on developing a system for in situ cofactor regeneration.
