About me
I joined Prof Dordick’s and Prof Siegel’s group in the year 2009. Twenty-one years before this exciting moment, I was born in the city of Changsha, a magical place at Central China. I went to Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Materials Science & Engineering in 2005, and get my bachelor’s degree there. Then the Gibbs free energy drove me to the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at RPI, Troy, New York.
Former Education
B.S Materials Science & Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Research
As a member of both BioTech center and Materials Department, my research is focused on the interaction between nanomaterials and bio structures, such as proteins, peptides and enzymes. By controlling parameters of nano particle, including material, size, morphology and ligands, we are trying to see how these particles will interact with proteins, for example, how the absorption or structure/property changes.
We hope through these researches, we can lend brighter future of nanomaterials and nanotechnology on their biomedical applications.

Hobbies and Activities
I like reading about history, it is of great fun to discover how human society become what it looks like today—just as interesting as looking at crystal growth. Besides, if I feel energetic, the first thing I would is playing soccer. And recently, I am pretty in to automobiles and driving.
