I became a member of the Dordick lab group in the fall of 2019 to pursue a PhD in chemical and biological in engineering. I earned my bachelor’s in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans and decided four years in the field simply wasn’t enough. My current projects include researching recombinant enzymes for an alternative to antibiotic medicines and reducing ambient carbon dioxide levels with the enzyme carbonic anhydrase.
